Free Summer Food Program for Children at Library Branches

The Scioto County Community Action Organization (CAO) will provide free lunches to children during the summer as part of the USDA Summer Food Service Program at the Lucasville and South Webster libraries from 12:00 – 12:30pm and the New Boston library from 12:30 – 1:00pm on regular days open. Any child under age 18 may come and eat a free lunch regardless of income level. Young adults between the ages of 19 and 21 years of age may also come and eat if they have a documented physical or developmental disability.

Quick Pick Books

Your PPL is featuring a new service called Quick Pick to help you get new books more quickly! Beginning June 1st, here’s how it works: Quick Pick is a special collection of new adult fiction & non-fiction books including bestselling titles and older, high demand titles that compliments the existing collection. This service allows patrons to bypass the hold list so that everyone gets the book quicker–just pick it up and go! Join us in learning techniques in oil painting. There is a $10.00 supply fee, due at time of registration,  for all participants and pre-registration is required.
